Ben Vane.

Ben Vane, On the banks of Loch Lomond.

Wednesday 16th November.

Early start from Digs at Polmont (Falkirk), left digs at 5.45am for the 1.5 hour drive to Loch lomond, passing via Sterling, seeing the Castle lit up at 6am was quite spooky.

Upon arrival at Loch Lomond, the Sun was just trying to come above the horizon, fantastic sites as I watched the Sun Rise from the Shore line.

Once the Sun was up, the day began very Bright, Cold and Icy, but very Bright.

The walk up Ben Vane start at Inveruglass hydro electric power station, the visistors centre car park is on the banks of Loch Lomond.

From Visitors centre car park, turn left onto the A 82, follow the road for approx 600yds, the footpath rises above the road, after a while you shall see a private road on your right, (the gate shall be closed),but the foot gate will be open.
Follow this road for approx 2 miles, past the Electric sub Station,

To be continued……………….
